As you walk in through the Dugit
Outreach Center, in the historic building that was once the headquarters
of Israel’s Labor Party, you see the red glow of candle light and the
warm atmosphere that radiates from the Gospel Café. There you are
greeted by friendly people who offer you a free cup of coffee. Live
music is playing, sometimes classical, sometimes alternative, often
folk, but always played by believers who are talented musicians. As you
sit and enjoy the music you are approached by someone who just wants to
get to know you…you start talking and that’s where the ministry of the
Gospel Café takes flight…. |

been exceptional, some are professional musicians, while others are very gifted amateurs. The Gospel Café is a joint outreach of Dugit Center and Adonai Roi Congregation, both led by Pastor Avi Mizrachi and supported by the prayers of many faithful believers. The Gospel Café is staffed by a team of volunteers and everything is either loaned or supplied by Dugit and Adonai Roi Congregation. The Gospel Café is housed in Dugit Center, | |

right in the center of Tel Aviv. Many international groups come to Dugit
to volunteer often going out in teams to hand out invitations to the
Gospel Café. “There are physical and spiritual ways to grow and
progress”…says Jason. “Physically, we have some goals, like to put in
some permanent lighting and open up the Café on more than one night a week. However, all
of these needs are limited to the availability of funding. “Spiritually,
the Gospel Café needs people praying every Thursday night. Specific
prayer that God would bring the right people, that even people that live
outside of Tel Aviv would find an invitation or read about it on the
internet and come in. Additionally, the ministry that goes on here is
very important. We need more prayer for God to raise up people to
minister at the Café itself, in multiple languages (not just in Hebrew,
English and Russian) like Spanish and French as well.” The Gospel Café
is a fun place for believers to meet non-believers and bring their
pre-faith friends to get to know other believers. Jason encourages
groups who come to visit Israel to do more than just view the sites…he
asks them to come and support established ministries, stand behind them
and help accomplish God’s spiritual purposes. “I think its great for
believers to come to Israel, especially Jewish Believers, but if you’re
going to come, help do something that has eternal purposes. You can help
at the Gospel Café by handing out some invitations for an hour or so…you
can hand out food at a shelter…it really doesn’t matter how or where you
help. It only matters that you help…it will make it a much more
rewarding experience. Not only that, it will have eternal benefits and
bear much fruit.
