Comments and Testimonies I just recently served with you all doing street evangelism one summer evening at Dizingoff Square in Tel Aviv. I was with the King's Kids group that came in mid-August. I have been reading the newsletter stuff I picked up at Dugit when I was there, and I have to tell you that I am very encouraged at what I see here. To be honest, I have often felt very offended as a Gentile at the kind of things I have heard said in some Messianic Jewish congregations in Israel and the United States. Sometimes, it seems as the state of Israel is the object of worship, rather than Yeshua, when you hear some of the aggressively nationalistic opinions expressed from the pulpit. I would be very reluctant and embarrassed to bring Palestinian friends into churches like that. But you all love Yeshua first and foremost, and all people that He sends to you, regardless of whether they are Jewish or Gentile. You clearly respect the beauty of other cultures that our Lord has created on this earth. I can truly see this, and I want to encourage you all to keep on fixing your eyes on Yeshua, the author and perfecter of our faith. Well done, good and faithful servants! Love, your brother, Kevin Morrow

Testimony from an Evangelist at Dugit "A young lady came into Dugit and started talking to a young person from our Congregation who was visiting Dugit. Our evangelist asked if he could help with anything. She began to ask a lot of questions. He sat down with her and they had a good conversation. She talked about many problems she has in her life and he was able to share the Gospel with her. While they were talking, he felt that there was a "wall" blocking her from receiving the good news so he asked the Lord for wisdom to know what he could say to break through the "wall". God answered, telling him that the woman's main problem was pride. He told her what he thought the Lord was saying and she confessed that this was the truth! After this she was open for him to pray for her. We believe the Holy Spirit touched this lady. She said she would be interested to come to Adonai Roi Congregation one Shabbat. Please pray for this young lady that Yeshua would reveal himself completely to her and that she would receive Salvation." |

Testimonies from of our Dugit Volunteers June
2003 Yasmine, USA "As we went out on the streets I just prayed that God would send us where we should go & who we should talk to. As we walked a man called me over and asked about my T-shirt. We bought him coffee and talked. I shared about sin, sacrifice, Yeshua and what He was doing in my life. He was very interested. He gave us his card and asked us to call him. He said that he may come to the Shabbat Service at Adonai Roi Congregation. We pray that the Lord will continue to work in him." Charity, Hanah, Christal, Tara, Kevin & Timothy, USA "We walked down Dizengoff Street and entered a shop that some of us had visited last year. Three of us talked with the shopkeeper for over an hour while the others were praying. He was a Jewish Israeli but not religious. He did not think it mattered what religion you are but what is in your heart. This time speaking with him we learned that he believes in reincarnation and that God weighs your good deeds against your bad deeds when you die. He was also suffering from a personal tragedy in his life - the death of his infant son a few years ago. We gave him a booklet called "How would you recognize the Messiah?" He said he would read the booklet and we pray that the Holy Spirit will cause |

A
group of volunteers from Oklahoma, USA with their leader Brent visited a
children's home in Tel Aviv. They had visited last year and built a
relationship with the home and this year they had been given permission
to paint the halls. Here are some of their testimonies: Daniel, USA "I came to Israel for the first time in the summer of 2002 on a trip to show support for the people of Israel and to share with them the truth about Yeshua. During this trip, some of our team had a divine appointment with a lady on the beach who worked at a foster care facility in Tel Aviv. With the help of Boaz and the Dugit Coffee house ministry we were able to collect packages of toys and school supplies for these children. We got to meet the children and were able to play some fun songs for them. They were very interested to know why we would come just to visit them and help them out and were amazed at our love. This year we were able to return to paint some of the hallways in their facility. The children joyfully remembered us and thanked us for coming. It was through this service to them that we were able to share the love of Yeshua with children to whom we cannot witness outright. The joy of the children really blessed me and our group as we tried to communicate with them. Some of our group spoke a little Hebrew while the rest of us |

communicated with smiles, nods &
pats. I look forward to another opportunity to bless these children with
love, either through gifts, services or relationships." Next Page >>> <<< Back |

Shay, USA "These children had very little, but they gave us so much. We thought we were bringing a blessing to them, and we were, but I believe I left that building having received just as much of a blessing as the children did. God used these children to touch my heart in a very special way." Brent, USA "I know that our visit made an impact on the hearts of these children as they watched us serve them in any way we could. But, the bigger impact was what they did for me…it made me realize the life many of them live, without families, or difficult home situations. God gave me a deep compassion for them." Chris, USA "It's exciting that these children can be exposed to the love of God even in an environment in which they have very little to depend upon." Ben, USA "Going over to the Foster Home was a great experience. The kids were all happy to see us, and they immediately wanted to communicate with us. Some of the older kids couldn't understand why we would want to come to help out at their home." |
