The Mizrachi Family

Avraham “Avi” Mizrachi, the Executive Director of Dugit Messianic Outreach Center and Pastor of Adonai Roi Congregation, was born in Tel Aviv to a Jewish family. In 1984, after serving in the Israeli Air Force, he traveled to America where he met Yeshua as Savior and Lord. He later attended Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, Texas. Avi and his wife Chaya returned to Israel to serve the Kingdom in 1987.

In 1993, at the urging of the Holy Spirit, Avi established Dugit Messianic Outreach Centre as a place to reach Israeli’s with the Gospel and to disciple them to become strong believers; rooted and grounded in the Word of God. Dugit (meaning Small Fishing Boat in Hebrew) invites Israelis to hear the good news of their Messiah over a free cup of coffee and also hosts groups from all over the world to take to the streets of Tel Aviv.

In 1996, Avi founded Adonai Roi (The Lord is my Shepherd), a new Messianic Congregation in Tel Aviv. While the congregation began with a few people meeting together in a private home, it has grown into a vibrant Messianic community. Since 2007, Adonai Roi has been a tabernacle, moving from location to location without a permanent home. The leadership and Congregation are still searching and praying for the Lord’s perfect place.

The ministry has now expanded to include The Agape Distribution Center, which helps to provide food and clothing to needy Israelis; and the VIP Prayer Tower, which invites believers from Israel and the nations to intercede and worship the Living God.

Chaya assists Avi with the ministries of Dugit Outreach Centre and Adonai Roi Congregation. She also helps to raise their 3 girls. Chaya is involved in the ProLife movement in Israel where she has given Post Abortion Syndrome Workshops that provide counseling and support to women who are suffering from the trauma that follows abortion. Avi and Chaya have 4 daughters and 3 grandchildren.

They ask that you continue to stand with us in prayer for the salvation of the Jewish people!
